Ok, as I mentioned in one of my oh-so-many previous journals (in opinion of some people
) I had drawed a buddhist girl that happens to be fat.I hope no one is offended about this. When it comes to religion peoole are so very easily offended. The sentence at the left of the pic is a translation of the words I remember from a book called "Songs of distant Earth" by Arthur C. Clarke. I don't have the book anymore, so I can't be sure if that is the exact quote (in fact I'm pretty sure it is not), but I wrote something very similar in the meaning. This is a phrase I liked a lot.
My knowledges of the history of hinduism are not very vast, so I can't be sure if that is totally true or not (since I know the other two major religions HAD started wars and bloodsheds in any moment if their history).

EDITED: made a search through Google looking for buddhist wars in history, this was the result: [link] I looked through there and in the links I cliked there were wars involving buddhist people (I didn't seen any war started "because I am buddhist and you are not"). I knew there were (in Japan, they adopted buddhism and they were one of the most belicous countries ever (in the samurai era(s) ) -people tend to adopt religions and adapt them to their necesities
you should see how many people I know that say "I'm catholic, but I disagree in so many things with the catholic Church" - . Anyway, take a look and judge by yourselves. I admit my almost total ignorance when it comes to history of buddhism.SECOND EDIT: I changed the title to meditating because a buddhist person expressed his disconformity with the former title.

You got the first and the third words. BBW is the most common (among the size acceptance community) and politically correct term to name women that are from chubby to obese, and it stands for Big Beautiful Woman. In my opinion it's a little lame, but as I said it's the most used one, and used like that doesn't sound offensive, that's why I use it too.

Interesting. Anyway, I reckon my translation was very poor. The original sentence by Clarke meant that no war had been started for the sake of Buddhism (as, for instance, the holy wars by the crusaders centuries ago). There had been wars impliying buddhist people, I can't deny it. Anyway, I made the same search using the "s and even if there were a lot of results, most of them were not really reliable.
Anyway, I totally admit my almost total ignorance about buddhist history. As I admitted in the description it was not me who said that. It was a phrase I read in a book (Songs from distant earth) that I liked. I'll post your search in the description of the pic so people can judge themselves.

Well, as I had said before, people (and I tend to think that of any person with a certain faith, spiritual philosophy, religion, or something similar...) is VERY easily offended when it comes to this field. There are people offended because I complimented the buddhism, because apparently they thought that I was complaining about the rest of the religions

I wrote that phrase because I read it in a book years ago and I liked it. It may be true or not, but I liked it. So, I wrote it in the pic, because I thought it fitted. You think it doesn't? Then you have two problems.
Anyway, I fail to see why that may be offensive to a member of the other religions. I mean, since I don't belong to any religion nor faith, I'll put another example: if anyone says... I dunno "Swiss is the only country that had never been involved in a war", I would not be offended. Yes, that means that my country had been in wars, even civil wars. Since that had happened and it's not a lie, I can't be angry, nor offended. It's part of the history. It doesn't mean that my country is less or worse than swiss, just that in its history, it had been in wars. To be offended by that, is childish and stupid.
