Personality:

Annie is an open book. She can never hide her expression, no matter how much she tried. With that, she is quite emotional. She's shy, bashful, clumsy, but very sweet. She's also very passionate at what she loves. It's very hard to make her mad but it's very easy to get her embarrassed. If you're patient with her, she can show you she is much more than the average shy girl. She LOVES puns and her favorite thing in the world is ice cream. She hates the dark and needs Fang with her to sleep. Since she recently started learning about pokemon, she will often mistake their names so don't get mad if she calls your vulpix a rattata.

History:
(I really tried not to make this so long, I really did, but my fingers just kept typing!)

Annie lost her mother when she was only a baby. She died saving a pokemon when she worked at a pokemon safari with her brother. It was tragic and affected everyone since her mother was very dear to their hearts but her father took her death the hardest. He blamed pokemon for taking her away and grew a deep hatred for them. He took baby Annie to Oldale Town and set up repel sprinklers around the house where he can protect her from the 'monsters'. As Annie grew up, her father told her horror stories about pokemon, about how they are horrible monsters who would hurt her if they had the chance. Because of this, Annie spent most of her life fearing pokemon and became the weird home-schooled girl who never left her house.

Years past and despite Annie's weird phobia, she grew up happy. At age 15, she met a boy named Aaron Rosser who disliked pokemon as much as her father and because of this, she attached herself to him. They begin to date but this boy was no where close to being prince charming. He was arrogant, sexist, and unfaithful. He was a huge jerk but Annie forgave him every time because she made herself believe that he was the one. Still, she was not happy and felt like her life is still missing something. Then Aaron's sister came to visit. Carmen Rosser was the complete opposite of Annie. She was outgoing and a respectable pokemon trainer. When they first met, the first thing that came out of Carmen's mouth was: “You’re dating this dweeb? You poor, poor girl.” They instantly became fast friends.

Carmen opened a whole new chapter of Annie's life. She taught her many things about the world and taught her about standing up for herself and how to survive in the world. She even taught her about how pokemon are not all bad. Annie second guess all the things she was raised to believe and made the decision to finally give pokemon a chance. Of course it took Annie a very long time to even look at a pokemon and not burst into tears. Even at sixteen years old, she still feels like that five year old who hid under her bed because she feared that there are pokemon outside her window. It was gonna be a long process and they both knew that.

A lot of time has passed since her decision to accept pokemon into her life. She broke up with her boyfriend and had her first fight with her father about the topic of pokemon and found out why he despise pokemon so much. She had her first encounter with a pokemon, Carmen's eevee, and didn't run away from it. It was an eventful year but it was time for Carmen to leave to go on another journey. She asked if Annie wanted to come with her but the bashful girl just shook her head, saying she is not ready to face the large world full of pokemon just yet. With a tearful hug, Carmen left Oldale Town and it was the last Annie seen of her.. but that doesn’t mean they haven’t stopped talking. Carmen sent Annie many postcards, gifts, and pictures of her journey. Annie wrote back lame little things like how she saw a oddish and didn’t scream her head off and how proud she was to do so. Then, on her seventeenth birthday, Annie received a gift of a lifetime.

An egg.

A note explained how this egg was abandoned and will be needing a lot of loving when it hatches with a perfect signature by Carmen. Determined, Annie accepted the egg as her own and never went anywhere without it.

Of course she didn’t get over her fear over night. When the egg hatched and a surskit came out, she whimpered like a baby but managed to not burst into tears and ran away. She just sat there, very wary of it but after a couple of minutes of watching the baby pokemon sqwee-ed and look around with curiosity, Annie begin to see herself in the bug pokemon. When the surskit finally noticed her, she grew attached instantly. Literally. She wrapped her little arms and legs around Annie’s head for most of the day. It was a start of a beautiful friendship. It took some time but Annie eventually opened up to the surskit. It made her happy with it’s antics and it’s ability to love and play with everything. It wasn’t long till she gave the Surskit a name to show that they truly bonded.

The day her father discovered Clementine was the day her life really begun. He of course did not approve and exploded right then and there. He told her that no daughter of his would be a pokemon trainer and if she wants to live in his house, she must ban pokemon from her life forever. After forming a close bond with Clementine, she simply can’t do that. She told him without hestitating that she will leave home. She packed her bags and was ready to leave and her father, after cooling down, tried to convince her to stay. Annie told him she can't. She needs to do this for herself. She needs to grow up and see what the world is really about. With a sigh of defeat, her father gave her two evelopes. One was a letter from her mother and the other had a wad of cash in it. Her mother's note was signed on the day Annie was born. It explained how she loved to work at the safari and that she can't wait to show her everything about the pokemon world. There was many touching words in the letter with a map inside to show exactly which safari she worked at. Annie knew this is where she needs to go.

Lilycove City.

Annie's father let her go with a kiss on the forehead and told her to come home any time she wants. With that, Annie starts off on her first journey. She didn't know exactly what she would find when she reached the Safari. She certainly didn't expect to reunite with her uncle who was shocked to see a smaller version of his late sister to realize it was his niece. They grew close right away and he agreed to let her stay with him and help out at the safari. There he told her many stories about how he and her mother was a duo here at the safari. She felt closer to her mother than she ever did with these stories and gave her the strength to accept pokemon with the help of her uncle.

It was a long progess for her to get over her fear but over the years she began to care about them and even have pokemon of her own. Don’t get her wrong, she still gets scared of them from time to time but only with the ones she never seen before.

Pokemon

|| Clementine || Masquerain || Female

Annie's first pokemon. As explained in Annie's history, Annie received Clementine as an egg for her seventeenth birthday. Clementine is cheerful, cuddly and likes to cause trouble. She'll purposely embarrass Annie just to see how red the bashful girl's face can go. Still, Annie is her favorite person so you will often see her hugging the human girl’s head. Her favorite thing to do is scare people at night with her antennas that glows in the dark.

|| Tobias || Tropius || Male

Fun fact, Tobias is Annie's mother's pokemon. When Annie's uncle showed her the safari, he immediately showed her Tobias he can taken in after Annie's mother's death. Learning that her mother used to own a pokemon amazed her and despite her fear of pokemon, she grew close to Tobias right away seeing how he went adventures with her mother once upon a time. Tobias is old but still knows how to battle well. He's calm and would rather relax in the sun and often don't give any attention to anyone but Annie.

|| Fang || Luxray || Male

Annie took a trip to the Sinnoh region with her uncle when she was eighteen. By this time, she has already been used to pokemon. They went on a tour in the Safari and Annie somehow got separated from the group and became lost. As night came, she took cover by a tree but out in a distance, she saw a light. Drawn to it, she followed it and came upon a Luxray pack. She regretted that decision to follow the light when the Luxrays took notice of her and begin to advance towards her. Thankfully a shinx with a glowing tail came to her rescue. It told the pack to back off. They listened as Annie's legs gave out. With a small growl from the cub as it beckons her, Annie cautiously followed it. They found her searching party but before Annie can thank the Shinx, it left. A year later they went back to that Sinnog Safari and to Annie's surprise, she found a grown Luxio with a glowing tail waiting for her. It took her a few moments to realize it was that shinx that saved her that one time. When they began to leave, the Luxio followed. Annie's uncle told her the Luxio wanted to stay with her. Annie didn't have any doubts as she accepts the Luxio as her first captured pokemon. Since then, he has been her protector. If anyone even gave her the wrong kind of look, you can bet Fang will be up in your face about it.
