This is the sketch I used for my latest big work, I figured I can share it with You in a mean time while doing other stuff

Pretty interesting to see the planning process. Just out of curiosity, what made you decide to change the texture for RD's wing when you did the final version? The usual feather pattern seemed safe enough, but then again, I might not understand the reasoning behind your specific style

Well feathers generates some problems to me, I yet need to find my way to depict them, other than that? I think I got a bit lazy and stared to rush myself while working on Dashie - she was last character I worked on, so that maybe the factor

Oh well. Live and learn, I suppose. Besides, it's not like she looks bad. It looks fine to me, and it actually matches the style you're using, so you probably shouldn't feel too badly. It's probably one of those things that you have to tinker with until you're satisfied.

Tell me about it, today I started doodling some human version of RD, but I really struggle with it, I'm having hard time matching lines and colouring/shadows, the style I used for the human version of AJ somehow doesn't work in this one I already feel a bit bummed and upset about that :/

Damn, that's a shame. Nothing's worse than just being stumped and dead in the water. Well, you know what to do: keep shaking the tree and something will fall out eventually. Best of luck with that, I'm sure you'll figure it out.

Damn, xD always new that Big Mac is the best stalion - xD and that song at the beggining - Haddaway's "what is love" first time I heard it while seeing the "night at the roxebury" love it xD

Very cool! ^^ I noticed you only changed a few details, like the direction of Fluttershy's glance (here it looks like she's looking at the bottom, while in the final version she's looking at Rarity). And well, given how the definitive version turned out... it certainly is the WIP of a very great drawing !

Thanks! Yeah some things has been changed - most notable are RD's body position and head-to-body proportions of most of the characters - since usually I draw human characters, I tend to draw heads smaller then ponies usually are depicted with. But of course it's easy to change during tracing itself, sketches help me in having general idea - couldn't go anywhere without them though
