So, some more Ember, since her design provides some nice variety and I wasn't all too happy with previous drawing I made. Also it was pretty fun how she was confusing Twilight and Starlight as one and the same pony However, it kind of does brings up with limitations Starlight's character is burdened with. Overall I can't help but enjoy all the interactions we could see in that episode. Hmm, I really gotta draw Thorax sometime in the future as well.Related content

Starlight is basically Twilight, the writers tried to establish that since the end of season 5 xD
I can see why Ember might have problems distinguishing them.

Well Starlight is basically Twilight-lite - although she seems kind of tame when comparing the two, hence I feel like she is best when doing low-key appreances instead of being focus of the story, I can't help but feel like she doesn't have enough distinct personality to carry episode on her own.

Since dragons are not used to being in a vibrant colorful environment (as they live in a habitat of dirt brown, ash black, lava red and orange), my theory is that they have limited languages describing a whole range of different shades of one specific color, but also groups distinct colors in the same category

Despite reptiles having better color vision than humans (even in dim light), dragons may not tell the difference in shades of distinct colors very well as ponies do
I think the reason why Ember lacks of finding distinctions in ponies is also the same reason why white people can’t tell black people apart and why black people can’t tell white people apart (also known as the cross-race effect )
