Since this week's episode is titled "A Royal Problem" I assume drawing Best Princess would be quite apt
I mean, I could draw some Daybreaker, but there's tons of art depicting that one already. Besides, Nightmare Moon is still better version of the concept.
What about the episode itself? Well, I'm bit torn. It was solid episode. Luna's struggling at Celestia's job and Twilight-ballerina music box moments were easily most entertaining parts of it. Although this story practially begged for Twilight & Starlight team up, with
the former providing exprience and the latter serving as more neutral point of view (just like "Lost Treasure
of Griffin Stone" and "Viva Las Pegasus" did, so the whole "bias" thing is a weak excuse IMHO). That said,
Glimmer's role beyond the spell was rather small and focus was heavier
on the Sister's so I guess that was the point all along. Also, I have a gripe with the whole spell
that apparently couldn't be reversed by ANYPONY including Celestia and Luna, of all
ponies. Perhaps if I was fan of Royal Sisters I would apprecieate this episode more, still, for
a first Celestia & Luna episode it was enoyable story. I'm probably in minority but I was perfectly fine with the amount of Celestia and Luna in the show and never felt the need for them to have own episode. Still, it was alright episode. Solid 7 (maybe 7+) out of 10.

My favorite of the season even if is a premise repeated in many movies.
My only problem is that it is very convenient that the spell lasts only 24 hours and that Celestia has learned how hard Luna's work is only for an extraordinary matter and not for a common day of work.

Yeah that spell was so weird, it could be casted but not reversed by anypony, and it actually had to last that much of time. It was built up to be all too convenient.
To me it was even weirder that neither Celestia or Luna seemed to be able to reverse it given their reaction to it. I guess that's another problem with Starlight, I don't mind her, hell, I do want to like her more, but some ideas regarding her magic really contradict anything that happen prior to her appearance.

SoC: A Royal ProblemI've got a problem. It may seem ridiculous to you peasants. However, that is because you are common run of the mill people. Your underdeveloped brains and Neanderthal bloodlines make you think your problems are worse than those us of noble blood have to deal with. You may have a problem yourself, but because you are common, your problem is common. My problem is more significant because I am royalty. My problem is not common, it is a royal problem!!!! Ok, that is not my best intro, but I couldn't think of anything else to go with the episode title. I've been anticipating this episode for weeks, but had to get through the others before I could get to it. I've seen thumbnails that present an evil Celestia and this intrigues me like it would intrigue anyone in the fandom. So I'm going to stop this useless banter and get on with my Stream Of Conscience Review of A Royal Problem:

I like the royal sisters and I hoped for an episode about the two of them for quite some time. Especially for Celestial since we already had some Luna episodes.
The thing is that Starlight Glimmers inclusion raised so many questions. Why did the map call out a pony who isn't an element of harmony? How can a random unicorn manipulate the cutie mark magic of two almost godlike beings? Why did nobody object against this manipulation of something very personal?
To summarize: I looked forward to the concept but the writing was somewhat flawed and the execution had a few shortcomings. But hey, Celli and Lulu were fun to watch, especially how Luna ate the Banana xD

It was still kind of a fun episode, but im always sad if I look at something that wastes so much potential.

Now you say it, it didn't even bug me when I watched it. But that's probably because I watched this episode just before going to sleep. .-.

As a hobby author myself I tend to watch the writing a bit closer than usual. So I hone in on little inconsistancies like those rather quickly.
It's quite normal that stuff like this happens when multiple writers work on the same project, but it still bugs me quite a bit.
In my personal opinion since the end of season 5 the quality and consistency of the shows writing dropped quite a bit.
