Peter Parker has made yet another deal with Mephisto, this time wishing to be married to Mary Jane Watson, with whom he is in the midst of relationship problems with. Unfortunately, the devious Mephisto twists Peter's wish into reality...

Before he knows it, MJ is now Marion Jake, a prominent male hero and new Avenger, with Peter now going by Patty, his loving wife and secretary at the Daily Bugle, who is hoping for a promotion to reporter.
