Description

Two pokemon that take everyone’s favourite liquid metal in different directions.

Hermetal produce mercury from their feet to skate across the land as fast as the wind. Athletic and acrobatic they can be quite cocky in battle as they out-speed opponents and weave between their attacks, wearing them down with superior agility and toxic metal. Outside of battle they are commonly employed as postmen and couriers but have seen use in the arts as figure skaters too.

Mercuraith use their liquid body to morph into a variety of shapes to suit their needs in the moment, with only their glowing, mechanical eye remaining solid at all times. Their intelligence is poorly studied but they seem to observe constantly and have even been seen mimicking the forms of other beings*. They don’t appear to occur anywhere naturally and can be found in all manner of habitats at random, their role in the ecosystem is a complete mystery.

*instead of the ditto face just imagine a smooth featureless surface, save for a traffic light in the centre.
