Description Bretlans first trio of legendary pokemon, each based on mythical creatures from medieval Britain.

I wanted a trio of dragons for bloody ages before Diamond and Pearl finally did the concept so Bretlan had these guys pretty early. Ddraidash fulfils another wish of mine that wasn't tackled in the actual series for ages, a Fire type dragon. I mean the things are well known for fire breathing so it seemed weird that there hadn't been one at the time. Anyway I did these guys to mirror the starters types which again seems like an obvious thing to do with legendaries. I also realise Hyrulisk doesn't look all that grass-y but that's something that you'll just have to deal with if it bothers you as I think it looks quite handsome in full colour.

Hyrulisk reside only in the deepest reaches of the most expansive forests, away from human life. Feisty and fierce pokemon, their small stature compared to many dragons belies a potency in battle that borders on the formidable. This pokemon is able to wither plants and sully water instantly with its breath should it so choose although the acorn on its tail has immense rejuvenating properties. This acorn is fiercely protected and was the subject of many quests in ancient times, its power so great that if planted a verdant forest would grow around it, with an enormous, mighty oak at its centre.

Selkrash whilst elusive pokemon are more inclined than most legendary pokemon to interact with humans. Their malicious nature however is of little benefit to anyone foolish enough to oblige the Selkrash, which readily drowns its victim before feasting upon them. Inhabiting only the largest bodies of water within Bretlan all its residents are advised from an early age to display extreme caution around these places, particularly at dawn and dusk. Legends say this pokemon would come ashore at night to breed with other pokemon whose offspring would grow to be incredibly quick but wild and distant.

Ddraidash are imposing pokemon with a fierce greed and a superior attitude. To be in the presence of a Ddraidash without substantial payment or a near mythical amount of luck is to court death and whilst stories exist of those who outwitted a Ddraidash they are few and far between and probably unfounded. These dragons covet treasure and guard it jealously, quickly entering a childish rage if they feel their possessions are threatened, bathing the area in fire and thrashing their huge bodies in anger. Despite their reclusive and sedentary nature Ddraidash are quick as the wind, as strong as a mountain and as hot as the sun.
