Description EDIT: Redrew these guys because they were old and their movepool needed some love. Nothing has really changed, just a bit of TLC.

Tidltorch are reared by female Tritorch in ponds that are heated by their tails. The warm water persists through the winter and by the time many other amphibian pokemon would begin laying eggs many of the Tidltorch may already have reached adulthood. Although quite weak they can discharge plumes of flame from their eyebrows and it isn't advised they be removed from their nursery pond by hand.

Male Tritorch are flashy and arrogant, often disdainful of anything that can't match their brilliance (particularly other males). In fact, the brilliant blue of the females back is one thing that really excites them and the males have a similar attraction to other items of a similar hue. So strong can this attraction be that it was manipulated by trainers who would lure in males using a great ball.

The tails of the primarily water dwelling females are unable to burst into flame like those of the more terrestrial males and instead super-heat the water around them to produce a veil of bubbles. Ponds inhabited by Tritorch remain warm all year round thanks to the tails of the females and as such they can reproduce year round unlike many other amphibian pokemon.
