Ahh the ever powerful and terrifying Reaper Leviathan...I have had a great view of one tearing my Seamoth apart Β xD I like how its smiling like its thinking "that life pod looks rad. Imma chew that life pod".

They are much worse than the other leviathans because they can just show up without warning. And yeah it does look like this one is smiling.

Just about. This one time in one of my lets plays I literally left my Seamoth for barely a few seconds to go hunt some fish and I hear this ear blasting roar, turn a full 360 to see a Reaper appear out of no where and B-lining straight for my Seamoth.Β Β

I am very cautious about where I leave my seamoth. I haven't had anything like that happen to me recently but just after they added the ability for them to grab seamoths, I had a terrifying moment near the back end of the ship and thankfully escaped

The ship Aurora? Because yeah xD theres a Reaper that quiet literally nests around the back part of the jet engines on the Aurora. Also would you happen to know where I might generally be able to find cyclops fragments?

I heard the mushroom forest has hull and console fragments, and the floating island has engine fragments. there is a wreck thats just above the 200 meter mark so you can get to it, but beware of bone sharks

Β Bone sharks?!
welp...not more things with teeth trying to eat me. How big are those critters and will the wreck my Seamoth 1v1?
Also thanks a bunch for the info on the fragments I've been wanting to do another lets play to show where they were but finding them has proven really really hard for me. xDΒ
Much appreciated.

The bone sharks are about the size or your seamoth and do about ten damage per bite, so have a welder.

I think I have the repair tool...I think... Β
Β Here is hoping I don't get eaten. I'll let you know how that adventure goes.

Reaper leviathans... Those things could scare the crap out of anyone, I'd say. D8

They are very very scary. I turn around as soon as I hear one.

Yup! The worst thing way to encounter them is, in my opinion, that the moment PDA notes about their presence while going around with Seamoth, there's already one coming right at you. Happened to me once, and I'd rather not repeat it. I did go actually looking for them while going with my Cyclops before the latest update because why not. XD I was real bored and wanted to have a better look at how they'd act on the bigger submarine. I was rather disappointed. XD
But I'd never dare do the same now that the creatures are more aggressive against the Cyclops and can really damage it! D8

I play the game in spurts, and I put it down before the cyclops update, but in about a month or two (or maybe when it's finished) I'll start a new survival world and play through again. Really liked learning about the precursors, can't wait for more.
But I did watch a video about the new cyclops and a guy was getting beat up by just the skeleton fish in the lost river. Don't wanna go anywhere near anything dangerous ever again

I've ended up playing in spurts, too, since I'm so busy with school I hardly have time to play pretty much anything that takes more than 15 minutes at a time. And yeah, it's a good idea to start when the game is finished, since new updates can bring new updates. As far as I heard, the bug which caused lag and crashes after playing one save file for long enough appeared in the Precursor update (it happened to be the one during which I got the game, so I don't know anything else before that, but I've heard other players talk). And the cyclops update that just came caused a real weird bug: you have to be directly in front of the hatch or else you will get out into the water... inside your own seabase. One can get in the seabase with no problem, but getting out is so bugged up I'm glad I just got a moonpool to my base so if I get real desperate I can get out in some way. :'D
Eek! They've certainly cranked up the scariness in that case! D8
