my absolute FAVORITE! the greyish ones are cute too? but the reds! this guy had flown into a wire and got his left wing mangled...so was used to help educate children.....

it is wonderful to hear people see the value in educating others about the beauty that surrounds us. the Grey phase are cute but very hard to find, they go grey in winter here, and blend in like the bark of a tree

most people just know the great horned or the barn owls........easily seen cause of the size. the screech is so easily over looked till u hear it. such a lovely little bird!

he wasn't very active since it was daytime....they say when they turn the lights out? he's squeaks like crazy to all the 'outside' mates....

Man, your so lucky. You get to see all kinds of wildlife. Well, I'm sure I do too I just don't have an awsome camera to take the shots you do.

awww...i cheated here. i was in tennessee and went to a wildlife area at Land Between the Lakes in Kentucky....this little guy was a rescue
