And to finish this weird day, a weird pokémon that evolves into a cool one! That's It, Trapinch gijinka! Not many of those around, huh? I'm actually very proud this one looks human and yet a lot like a Trapinch, because this little guy sure is WEIRD. When I first met a Trapinch in the game I thought: "Dude, what's this? A bug? An ALIEN?" then I just killed It and crossed the desert... later I found out It evolves into that cool dragon Flygon (my fav pokémon) and rushed to the desert to get one! XDAnd the family gets together! Vibrava [link] and Flygon [link]
already showed up around here! \o/

Flygon's one of my favorites too. It frustrates me that it evolves at level 45 though.

I bet she sure can dance, knowing trapinch! But I hope she doesn't fall for me any time soon, because she'd probably trap me in a sand pit. I think Samson's in for some trouble if she ever gets an eye for him.

Good to see that you kept the +w+ eyes the Trapinch has on her. I actually find that Pokemon to be a very cute Pokemon because of that. Gotta love Flygon line...

I think Trapinch is supposed to be based on the ant lion bug, where it hides in the sand and shoots sand at ants to make them fall in the hole that it dug

That may be... If It had Bug type would make more sense, but what you say It may very well be their intention! ^^

I think it pretty much is the intention. There's a species of desert dwelling insect called the lacewing that looks a bit like a dragonfly in its adult stage.
It's larval stage is the more commonly known antlion that traps ants in sand pits.
