Right after Kyoko told Kakashis she's in love with him and he rejected her they both returned home. Kakashi starts remembering the promise he made in front of Minatos grave after Kyoko suprisingly returned to Konoha. He promised to Minato that he'll have an eye on Kyoko, look after her and keep her save. He really wanted to take his second chance and now he just feels horrible he wasnt able to keep it, because he hurted Kyoko with rejecting her. However he also knew, he wouldnt be right for her as everyone he opened up to died. He decided it would be best for her if he would just stay away from her in future so she could find someone who could really make her happy. Even though it might not be what he really wants, but he is sure he's not worth it.
