So the hat in question is the Libertarian's Cowl--You can see a pic of my PC wearing it over here: [link]
ersona_id=219603326 And it is a really sweet hat (well, cowl/hood technically) as it gives you a bonus to defense and like, +.25% mana regen in combat. But my god. With my PC's cheek bones, doe eyes, and pouty lips, she looks RIDICULOUS in that thing. I felt sooooo bad when I equipped it to her. And of course, once again, poor Alistair's stuck between a rock and a hard place XD

Thats why I only wear the Enchanter's Cowl. Its not that ridiculous but it doesnt make you feel like youre a clown around camp

the libertarian's cowl won't be as ugly if you find a matching set of robes. for me the robes that match that cowl was theΒ Reaper's Vestments

I completely understand this! I had felt the same way as well once I saw what the stuff looked like. I think this and the chasind 'robe' were the two biggest shockers. One is horrifying (the cowl) and the other makes it look like you are trying to distract the darkspawn with your 'assets'. Either way, great job with this, so awesome!

Awww, thank you! I did think some of the headgear in DA 2 was pretty nice though (or at least, less horribly, visually offensive XD )--especially some of the rogue hoods. Here's hoping for DA 3!

I haven't rolled a mage for DA2 yet, but from what I could tell the hats at least looked a bit better. For the most part I dug most of the rogue hats--the Champion's hood in particular was pretty awesome, and I felt like a total ninja. But yeah, I love that Hawke doesn't have a hat on in any of the cutscenes now

How do you get a profile like that? I've been playing Dragon Age: Origins for a while now (mostly because I just got Dragon Age 2 and I really want to finish the storyline properly first) and that looks, well, freakin' cool!

The hat? I think you find it in the Circle Tower somewhere. It's one of the best hats for mages in the game from what I remember. Or are you talking about her robs? They're kinda modeled after the Tevinter Imperium robes (even though she's wearing better gear, there's only two different models for mage robes--the circle robe and all its colors and the tevinter/chasnd robes and their feathers). Or did you mean just this scene--sadly, this does not actually happen in the game, though it'd be awesome if it did because that hat looks really silly XD
