Description
For those who haven't heard the story, Elizabeth Bathory, or Erzebet Batory was a Hungarian Countess by blood and marraige, who is one of the worlds most renowned historical vampires. She's one of the people who existed in actual history that, through her actions in life, founded belief in mythical vampires. She was also known as 'the Bloody Countess' other, more popular names are Vladrimir Dracul or 'Count Dracula', and Gilles de Rais or 'Blue Beard'.Related content

I did a paper on her for my Composition class. She's one of those people who are only inspiring because they murdered 300 people a couple hundred years ago, and that's long enough ago to make it less tragic and more . . . legendary? 
Anyhoo, I like the design on her bustle. It's rather awesome.

really? I feel the exact same way! I'm in the middle of a biographical analysis of the 'first vampires'- those people in history that made the legends what they are today- she is one of my all time favorites... okay that sounded really creepy, but I swear, the weirdest thing about me is how much I like pomegranates!

Yeah, you either have to be really noble and heroic or really effed-up to be remembered by history. Bathory was of the effed-up kind.

Elizabeth was also the name of Dracula's wife in Dracula (the movie), the version that came out in 1992 with Keanu Reeves. However, it was pronounced more like Elizabeta. It's really quite interesting to see where the idea for that possibly came from.
However, the movie DID NOT follow the book at all which seriously disappointed me.
I mean, yeah, the plot was pretty much the same but all the women were sluts and there was too much sex, and Mina was TOTALLY my favorite character in the book but in the movie she was a TERRIBLE person.
... Yeah. The movie added an extra plot to the mix. Which made me angry.
So then Van Helsing became my favorite Movie character.

Yeah I know!! no one makes a true Dracula movie, they always have to add their own crap! I mean c'mon, the book was AMAZING why change it??!! (though I've never seen it, I've heard the same thing from other friends who have.)Yeah Van Helsing is so cool, but I agree, Mina was my favorite in the book.

Van Helsing is HILARIOUS in the version of the movie I have.
