April 2009"Tomorrow I am to marry a Brittanian prince. It is not what I want. I do not understand, but it is for peace between China and Brittania."
The young empress has no choice. Her beloved homeland has been ravaged by war and strife. It would be a small sacrifice to save many lives.
She holds back the tears as she remembers the young man from six years earlier. She saved his life and he promised that he would take her to see the world.
A small ray of hope shines through her heart.
"Li Xingke... please keep your promise."
