I don't think this would be accurate, since Gear's GunBlade, is literally a gun, with a long blade on it.

True. But isn't the Gunblade more high tech? She never had to reload to fire again. From what I've seen with Uni's weapon, her gun has a more traditional style to it, except when she uses some of her SP of course xD.

I imagine using an ordinary gun is a different experience than using a high-tech, sci-fi, gunblade. Uni uses more traditional, ordinary firearms whereas Gear only uses that high-tech gunblade and only uses it when in HDD.
