Totally stole this joke from a live recording of Darby O'Gill's "The Rattlin' Bog" It just seemed so lamely funny that it made me think of Simon's dad and I had to draw it.Simon's worst fear is turning into his mother. His second worst fear is turning into his father. His third worst fear is going bald.
I don't draw either of the Dershowitz parents very much, but I do like Isaac. He's just a quiet guy who doesn't like conflict. He never seems fully "there" in conversations unless he pops out of his little cloudy haze to say something like this.

Now that I think about it, I haven't seen much of Mr. Dershowitz with Vya, I think they have a good relationship, like they make cookies together or something fluffy

I think they have a good relationship too. Like Mrs. Dershowitz doesn't like Vya at all, because she doesn't think he's good enough for her family, but Mr. Dershowitz is easy to win over. Make him a cake and watch football with him, and he'll think you're pretty great. He's technically been on a diet for the past ten years or so, so he calls Vya sometimes to ask him to make something sweet to bring the next time they visit. And Vya is just thrilled to be asked.

Oh! Wouldn't it be funny if Mrs. Dershowiwtz started to act crazy like in that J-Lo movie, Monster in Law, with poor Vya and he ends up giving the same speech of being in the important moments as family and blah blah blah...but after like 3 years into his marriage

I've never seen that movie, but I don't want Mrs. D to be insane, she's just very protective of her family (even protecting them from their own choices) Her protectiveness just usually goes too far and blinds her to good things.

Aw this reminds me of Dan's Jewish dad, Avi, from Game Grumps. You should check out the compilation videos of whenever Dan mentions him, I think you'd get some great ideas for Isaac.

My dad tells dad jokes, but they're usually him-specific. And he's said them so many times, that he doesn't even tell the joke anymore, he just says the punchline and laughs uproariously at it. Like "You want that highway to be two lanes or four?" "No, but I sat on it once!" and "Harewip, harewip, harewip!" It always succeeds in thoroughly confusing any visitors, but I guaran-damn-tee you everyone in my family has heard those jokes about ten million times. (he's very proud to have reached the point in his life where he doesn't have to say the full joke btw. Apart from his kids, I think he considers it his greatest accomplishment)
(I don't think I can handle Game Grumps. The only episode I saw had one of them talking a great deal about trying to suck his own dick and wanting to be in a three-way with his lesbian friends. I can't handle that.)

Haha, I love it when dads take pride in their dad jokes. I told a very dad-likeΒ joke to my dad, and after he laughed at it he topped mine with one of his own.

Oh shoot I'm sorry, I often forget how explicit they can be. In all honesty though, they can be pretty down to earth at times. They only ever try to make each other laugh, or try to cheer each other up. There's even a beautiful video on their side channel, GrumpOut, of Dan just sitting and talking to his grandmother. It's truly bizarre how both sincere and raunchy they can get on Game Grumps. I understand if you still can't watch their videos, I only wanted to suggest one of the many fan-made compilation videos of when Dan talks about his jewish father, Avi. His stories of his dad are very funny.

No, I believe there's good stuff in there, and I totally see why lots of people are fans. But I'm a sex-repulsed ace, and for me it's not worth it having to listen to the explicit stuff to get to the good stuff. I might look up that compilation video though

He would bust a gut. Vya is a total laugh-slut. If he gets a joke at all, he dies laughing at it. He thinks Simon's dad is one of the funniest people on the planet.
