Looks like I won't be able to finish it in time for the contest deadline, so I'm submitting a WIP
It's the only way I can tear myself away from my Wacom and get ready for the trip. Leaving in some 10 hours, haven't even started packing
This is my half-finished entry to 's contest "Another time, Another place"
inspired by fire dancers I saw at "Tortuga," a pirate-camping event I attended a couple weeks ago.

(>_> that was supposed to be just play of shadows on his face, since this is totally AU and he wouldn't have to blow himself up... although a fire-dancer with a burn scar covering half his body would be interesting. I'm assuming most people would stop after having a mishap like that, but I'm sure Mello, who want's to be the best fire-dancer in the world, would persist
