I'm with the cop on this one

People who say "Ruining their Childhood" are fucking Immature babies who are too obsessed with their childhoods to actually get a job.

I understand that the fans are upset, and it's hard seeing something you like being mistreated, but that doesn't mean harass the creators until they give you what you want. Also why TTG is still airing is because

1. There's an Audience (DUH)
2. The Animation community still bashes it to all hell, and never shuts up about it

It's like with Jimmy Kimmel and Trump Bashing

The only crime it's guilty of but managed to walk free from (while the DCEU gets punished) is utterly trashing characters.

Look, I went into the show with a clear mind since I knew it wason't gonna be 100% like the old show...and admitingly, the first coupel episodes were kinda funny. And then it went DOWN HILL from there with me as the humor just got dumber and dumber...to the point that Ig ave up watching the Cartoon NEtwork channel in all honesty until the new Ben 10 or Powerpuff Girls comes out.

Basically. It was pretty much a dc universe cartoon that featured almost every single dc character but focused more on the sidekicks. It was a great show.

Kisame17 In reply to violentchihuahua [2015-09-24 21:15:53 +0000 UTC]

Did the sidekicks get any focus? One of the problems with Young Justice was that the show had too many characters, and too little focus.

violentchihuahua In reply to Kisame17 [2015-09-25 07:12:59 +0000 UTC]

Robin, Kid Flash, Miss Martian, Aqualad, Artemis were sidekicks of their mentors. Superboy didn't count because he was an experiment created by Lex Luthor using a blood sample from Superman and himself. As far as the show went. The main characters (robin, aqualad, Superboy, kid flash, miss Martian, Superboy, and Artemis had a lot of focus while Jaime (Blue Beetle), Impulse, Arsenal, and a few others had a good amount of focus on the second season. Other than that, the rest of the dc characters shown in the entire show were just kind of there to basically establish that they're a big deal and have been in the superhero gig for a while.

Yeah! The Teen Titans Go! haters are just angry because of they feel their nostalgia has been destroyed. But we fans of the show know better.

The original Teen Titans was modern and fun as well, but at the same time it was dated and SOME of it doesn't hold up because it is modern. Which most of these kids (who are the most of the haters) don't realize.

As I keep saying, some of the episodes are actually good commentary. Truth, Justice and What was a joke on the (original) Teen Titans original source material, The Return Of Slade was a commentary on nostalgia and Let's Get Serious was making fun of our perception on comic book heroes in general.

So yeah. Teen Titans Go! is not as bad as the haters make it out to be. Just butt hurt kids angry at the fact that their nostalgia is tainted by silliness. Not aware that the original Teen Titans was just as silly and goofy and this is not a far cry from the original as they thought.

Plz, it y'all fans know better then you wouldnt flock to it.

And we dont hate it cuz of nostalgia BS nor it a comedy  that most sheep claim without anything back up. it becasue it "not good" even it's own merits. Why do fanboys cant get that?

And plz, explain how old show the written, animation, charatcers is dated and cant hold up but yet whatever TTG is doing is fresh and new. plz, i would love see an idiotic reply to this.  Cause being "not modern" is BS and has nothing to do with anything. It just the hacks at CN being too cheap and lazy to even try to put any effort and rely on brand recognition and the low standards of others. And y'all support that shit too. Congrats

So no, TTG is just as bad. not cause it silliness, cause of it failed quality. We well aware it was silly and goofy(hint among the reason why we love it) but it was funny and well written some how the new show which is a comedy cant do. which is a very far cry. But, hey if you think saying waffles for 11 mins is funny then sorry to hear that. :\

Here's a short, but sweet agruement on both of the Teen Titans:

I grew up on the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and when I was a kid and I saw it as this super serious show. I used to hate all the remixes such as The Next Mutation (the one that introduced the female turtle) and the 2000 one from 4Kids, but as I got older I saw the 1987 with different eyes and realized how silly it was.

That's just what many of you are going through when watching Teen Titans Go! You guys are learning how the original was just as silly and comedic and this version is not too far from it. Sure, you're not getting the jokes right away, but eventually you'll understand some of the jokes in a few years.

The original Teen Titans was a good show. It showed how verstiable it could be in action, comedy and drama. It was like your generation's Ninja Turtles. It had action and drama (like most superhero shows do), but it also showed that DC could make superhero shows comedic. Teen Titans Go! is a over the top, up to 11, 24/7 comedic take on the show, so it's not too different.

Ok,Here's a short, but sweet dedunking that said agruement : You making assumption on ppl dislike the crap base your own damn experiences.

I grew up on both 87, movies and the 2000s TMNT so Im well aware the difference merits and apect and then was old eought to judge that the 80s one was still live up with it charm, movies for it marture tone and 2000s for it action and animation. So plz, spare me the bullshit cuz again you still thing its a nostalgia thing, and forgetting my statment "We well aware it was silly and goofy(hint among the reason why we love it) but it was funny and well written that some how the new show which is a comedy cant do". Even if I get  jokes you claim, its not funny.

Okay clearly I was a little too hard on the "dated" and "doesn't hold up" part. But here's what your missing:

True, the original Teen Titans cartoon was my favorite cartoon growing up in my late High School/early College years. Out of all the DCAU shows, it was the one that stood out the most to me, it was awesome with it's action, comedy and drama all mixed into one. It even had jokes that I pretty much understood me. It had serious moments and life lessons. Yep. Teen Titans was a pretty awesome show!!

But I will admit, now that I'm a little bit older, the novelty of the show has wore off a bit. Not to say it was bad, but unlike other DCAU shows like Batman and Justice League that just keep getting better with time. I'm starting to see the alot of flaws on the original Teen Titans.

So what is it about the original Teen Titans that does or doesn't hold up all that much? The original Teen Titans is very modern. (Which many of you guys see as nostalgiac.) Here's some examples:

Well, first you have the obvious Anime-Influenced Animation, but that's not the end of it.

Notice Jump City had a more futuristic San Fransico/Tokyo feel, rather that Batman's 1920's Chicago/New York

The show's writing, dialogue and humor is very modern as well. It takes from most animes as well as past movies and shows. So the show has a lot of modern moments that the other DCAU shows, such as Pop-Culture refrences as well as some modern day talk. Good examples are Beast Boy's "Dude!" and Cyborg's "Booya!"

Don't get me wrong, the show had it's dark moments, as well as emotional moments. (Like most superhero shows do.) But alot of the writing doesn't really feel very superhero material, but more like Ninja Turtles. Yeah! Teen Titans must of took a lot of it's writing and materials from the 1980s Ninja Turtles cartoon. And it pretty much shows with the new Ninja Turtles cartoon. (That's pretty much the joke behind "Truth, Justice and What?")

So after all that, does that make the original Teen Titans bad? No, not at all, if anything it's unquie. It was a different take the DCAU wanted to do and to be honest it really paid off. The humor and jokes are funny and even the modern stuff holds up okay. (Way better than SOME other animated shows I know) The animation is good too, it's just so colorful and flowing. Sure some of the modern stuff can get a bit annoying such as the anime expressions and a few pop culture refrences. But I think it has the same DCAU effort and is still very entertaining. So even though the show I don't like it as much as I did when I was younger, I still do like it. It's humorous, fun and more importantly enjoyable.

While this could listed as first world problems, worrying about out entertainment instead of having to worry about basic survival there are merits to it in context.

Such as are the Titans for TTG good role models for people to watch? How does this adaption of the Titans compare to the last animated series? Is it a good show on it's own merits?

Personally I do not like the show. At best it had a joke that made me laugh once or twice, but other than that not so much. For one the main characters of it could easily be consider villains. Being downright selfish, doing little actual hero work and often focus on screwing over each other or someone else rather than doing something good. There's a difference between being a anti-hero or villain protagonist and being a "hero" in label only.

And 2 by going pure comedy the show lost one of things that the other had, depth. Being focus on comedy is not bad per say, but when you combine the bagged of nostalgia, long running characters, popular franchise, and then the final part being humanities' utter nonsensical behavior at times you knew there be a outrage. If it had kept the comedy of similar level I think it would have helped. Its one thing to be a comedy show, its another to be a good comedy show and for many they felt the upped amount comedy didn't make up for the drop of drama, action or long running plots that the previous series had.

Though I do not have a problem with the animation style, I find it effective. If only more thought was given to the writing. I don't have a issue with people liking what they do or do not like but it's better for everyone involved that both sides are heard. Unless your dealing with a side that not a hint of truth like creationists, the loons that they are.

Who says what doesn't matter? Does it matter that we expect a minimum level of quality of the entertainment we enjoy in our free time? That something that while we may not watch is watched by those who are friends and family, and it may impact them in a negative way. True, entertainment may not affect us as dramatically as the news would lead you the believe but it can and will affect us, even if it only makes us consider a alternate viewpoint or ideal. When we live in a world that entertainment can and often does reflect real world politics, moral scenarios and other situations is it wise that ones that lead to negative ends without a hint of satire or parody get made?

History is made by people being inspired of past legends, tales, stories, myths etc. For both good and evil. Is it that hard to consider that what one could classify as children's entertainment could live a negative impact on its viewers?
