OMG this took so long.I really wanted to remake this [link] and it was actually originally an up close picture.i decided to make it a full body picture and here it is ^_^.i learned so much more about digital painting with this and im glad i took forever on it.although some details r rushed i think overall its absolutely wonderful.hope someone out there likes it!Related content

Wow wow, so many improvements from the original! I really like the textures in this piece: the scales on the smale, the sparkles around the fairy wings, and the glares in the wood.
I think overall, the shading could be smoother. I really like how smooth the lips are and how the colors transition evenly from one to another, but that is not consistent throughout the whole piece, particularly in the skin, cloths, and leaf.
I do really like the shading on the leaf through, to show that she is floating above it! It's a really nice touch!

It's got a cute style to it; I like the use of the applied brushes here, there's a lot of subtle things going on with the leave and tree that I like.
The fairy isn't really "resting" all that well on the leaf though, and I wish I knew a REALLY easy way to fix that, but honestly, her whole body just does NOT look like it's resting on there at all.
This is really something that you have to do your own photo reference on. Take a picture of a friend resting on a pile of pillows, or a beanbag or something, and then try your best to make the leaf seem to fit that shape. Right now, trying to do any tricks to put her on that leaf will read like you're trying to put a square peg in a round hole, know what I'm saying?

thanks.I get what your saying.what had happened with this is that I hadnt mapped everything out before i started i was kind of adding things as i went and the leaf was the last thing i had added in.so consequently she ended up looking like shes hovering over the leaf in a drunken fashion instead of laying on it XD.but thanks and I totally get what your saying.next time ill map everything out and make sure its perfect before i continue painting

She is indeed a very pretty little fairy! Your shading technique is wonderful. Aside from anatomy in some places this is an overall very cute piece. She has a beautiful smile.

Well done, the colors blend nicely and there's a good mixture of textures!
However, I'd suggest making her more horizontal, since it would be pretty difficult to lay on a leaf that's almost completely vertical.
The shading is pretty good, though I think lightening the background just a shade or two would really bring out those vibrant shades on her outfit.
Otherwise, this is very well done! With a few changes, this could be a great piece! Keep up the hard work!

fantastic piece!
I really adore little details like her hair and eye lashes~ the texture of snake and light effect look awesome ^w^ !!~ I also love the golden strokes on the tree and your coloring style, really nice job ^^
one thing I would critique is I wish there was a contrast of dark and light colors, for example drawing shades under the leaf and fairy? anyway I love this piece

and i know what u mean.im still working on that,its something that's hard for me to master,on my next piece i will definitely work on learning how to make contrast more noticeable.i know it would help my drawings look not so dull and boring.thank you for taking the time and critiquing my art i really appreciate it.especially coming from an awesome digital artist like u.hopefully i can be like u one day ^_^.thanks again!
