I held on to scarlet as if a lifeline. Riot wouldn't do anything. I had had to watch everyone.. everyone but riot leave.. ever scarlet had left.. but riot had called her back. I sniffed for about the fiftieth time. Chaos had to me to hold my own and kiersten wasn't crying. I looked around wanted so bad the chilled warmth of a blackout. But scarlet had said no.. "cc.." I said she looked down at me eyes softer then I had ever seen them before. "make it black" I asked. Everything hurt.. my xachary had walked out.. Amy had gone and ruby too… everyone. Just me and cc again.. like it had been in the very beginning. She held me closer to her. "sorry tor not right now" she said. I shook my head. Yes right now.. I didn't want to cry.. I didn't want to remember.. I wanted my blank minded bliss.. everything had.. happened so fast. I tried to think to why they would leave but my mind came up blank. Scarlet just rocked from side to side. I let my mind fall into the motion. "shh" scarlet whispered when I started to cry again. Scarlet stroked my hair gently. "sweetie do you want the black?" she asked me. I nodded laying my head silently on her chest. Scarlet's heartbeat was so slow… strong. I sniffed as she walked to her room setting me on the bed and sat next to me. "tor close your eyes" she said. I closed them feeling my body starting to shake. I wished I was stronger.. at least strong enough to not cry every time I was hurt.. scarlet's scaled hand gently touched my forehead, my mind blanking body slumping into her.

I opened my eyes to be in scarlet's room again. She wasn't there. I looked around feeling a scream building in my throat. She ran in and picked me up. "shh tor I'm here" she said. I relaxed slightly. "why did you go…" I asked she walked into my great room that had the smell of fresh pain to it. Picture were hung every were. Some of flints, danny's , xachs and scarlet's every where. "shh sweetie" she said. I sniffed and hopped to the floor holding scarlets hand. I wasn't going to let her go… she would leave just like everyone else had.. I couldn't let that happen. I looked at each photo knowing who had drawn it by each art stlye. She looked at me. "you going to be alright tor" scarlet asked sounding as if she was going to cry. I hugged her with all force and nodded. "if you stay I will.." she smiled softly at me her scales a light red. "im here to stay tor" she said. I nodded slightly lifting up my arms again. She lifted me with ease. I hugged her neck looking around at my now empty room. "why did everyone go.." I asked fearing the answer. "because you need to grow without them." She said I buried my face in her chest hugging her closer. "cc will stay.." I said she rubbed my back gently. "yes I will stay sweetie" she said. Her voice was light.. "are you lying" I asked. Scarlet never used that tone unless she was going to black me out or make me go somewhere because I was being a nuisance. She frowned this time. "why would I lie" she asked. I looked down. "you use that tone to make me leave.. or believe something that isn't true…" I said rubbing my eyes. She hugged my tight to her. "im not lying. I would never lie to you about leaving torie." She said saying my ful name.. cc never said my ful name.. I nodded and hugged her back closing my eyes tighter. "may I sleep" I asked wanting anything to pass time... make it go faster. She rocked me gently. "of course child" she said kissing my forehead. I covered my ears and scarlet just continued to rock back and forth… back and forth the motion slow and strong. She whispered every few minutes it would be ok. I just listened wanting to be gone... at least kiersten hadn't left… she never would. "good night" scarlet said as sleep tugged at my mind. I felling into it greatfully. "night cc…" I whispered.
