My submission for Mer-Princess contest.

I've always wanted an excuse to make a mermaid-style selkie ever since I saw StressedJenny 's work, so here was my chance! If this piece is selected, I'll need to make a few tweaks to the final image like adding more detail to her costume to make her look a little more "princess" like, working on my color palette and lighting, and moving a few compositional elements around. But this was a lot of fun! It was so nice to take a break from convention preparations to just draw for an afternoon.
