hey its me... you know?.... the guy that Rarely writes comments on your stuff but still watches you quietly.... but not in the stalker way <_<.... anywho I too have been Infect...er "Converted" Into likeing these Disgustingly adorable ponies, but my main reason for this was actually thanks to Nostalgia! as I watched these ponies there was always something in the back of my head telling me "I have seen something similar to this before BUT WHAT IS IT!" then I found out that goodยดol Lauren Faust was the one that did the show and THAT is when it hit me! "THE POWER PUFF GIRLS" came into my mind as I watched and remembered how I grew up watching that show on cartoon network. Gotta say I still miss those days... This show helped me remember those days (especially the animation >_<) and therefore I am glad I watched! You know what Sc0t1n4t0r? you and gunsouru are partially the reason I gave in to watching the show. *BRU-AHEMMy little comicCROUGH-HHMM* oh excuse me. Anyway KEEP ON DRAWING YOU CRAZY DRAGON YOU! XD

it's not manipulative, it's like saying that things like religion or other cartoons are manipuative, I ahven't found any subliminal messages on the series either since I do watch the series to study animation as well.
Also, I understand why you are so scared of ponies, they are harmless, just look at how gawd damm cute they are.

Ah, but religion IS minipulative, if you think it wasn't.
Idk, Sukotto. I just don't like it because its sweeping the world and most (if not all) its fans combine their avatars with the MLP franchise. Me and others don't like to see this. We see that show as a kids show. And it still is. The characters just started acting like most irrsponsible (not saying you are) people act, noadays.
And I'm not scared of cute. I love cute. But "cute" is a matter of perspective. And I do not percive MLP characters as being such.

I doubt people in religions will try to manipulate you with food or trick contracts. One is manipulated because they chose to be, it's what they decide to follow because it's a BELIEF
I personally don't see anything wrong with this series sweeping over the world and I'm pretty darn sure it would be for the best of the society, the show itself teaches you a lot of being a good friend (something that you are not achieving at the moment)
And what's wrong with kid shows? watching a kid show won't make you less mature or more mature... scratch that last part, watching kid cartoons will help you mature more. Childhood is one of the best moments in life and one should embrace the good of childhood into their soul. But now, if you are talking about a show for little girls, it's not. The characters of the series feel alive with all their flaws and good traits, generally a good character is a character that could actually exist in real life. I'm pretty darn sure the whole cast could exist in a realm somewhere in the universe.
Ponies = girls, this sounds like pinpointing and giving labels, it has always been bad, leading to bullying and discrimination (people die from that you know, so watching this show will help them to change!)
also, I believe one of the reasons you don't watch the showis because you are scared of your own masculinity. I know I'm not.
As my best friend has told me: "you have to be a real man to take a girl out for a dance, but it takes to be way more man to invite a guy to dance"
motto on this: manly people are the ones not afraid of having a girl as a friend or liking flowers or to even cry, it is what makes us as a fully developed person.
come on now, watching the show won't make you less of a guy than you are now. IT'S JUST A TV SHOW

Hey, you're the one who found it dissapointing (noteing that comic you made) at first until you watched it. I simply have no desire to watch it just to find this out.
And, taking a guy out to dance? I never heard of that. Unless one is gay... Uh... Ahem.
And Sukotto, trust me, but no one knows when they are being minipulated. So there is no CHOOSING involved.
Plus, people only follow a certain belief because it makes them happy. What they don't realize (let's exclude the MLP thing here) is that it can possibly cause more damage to themselves then they know.

that msn conversation was fake. we never really had that conversation and he never criticized me for liking the show. I just told him, he checked it out and liked it.
taking a guy to dance isn't gay unless you want it to be gay. and by your logic, you are being manipulated by society's standards of gay. but noooo you are never manipulated by anything and you are smurt and know what you are doing.
sure, beliefs can harm people, but turning a blind eye to things that may be good but you are just afraid of watching is just plain stupid.

The msn screenshots are just a construction of a conversation I had with a friend, I just exagerated those things for the sake of the comic.
Its a saying
one is manipulated because they are not careful and they don't think enough.
wait... MLP is a belief?

ok, sorry for interrupting but I just had to come in and point the flaws on your logic.
first of all, religion isn't manipulative. religious people are. religion is just a way of life that people accept. then the human moral comes in and they turn it around and start manipulating people. that being said, I don't care what your view on religion is as I don't have a view on it so I'm not going to spend another word on it and I hope you also don't spend your time on it. if you do, I will tell you I will not respond to that in any way.
now, onto the subject I was reviewing. you say MLP is sweeping all the world, making it (somehow) a bad show for this (do I hear hipsterrrr?). I don't really see how something sweeping the world is something bad. if that thing is actually making bad things like killing children or destroying something, then it is bad (like the AH1N1 virus, that swept the world and it was bad). but the MLP show is just spredding...images, macros, people getting together, people enjoying a show...HOW IS THAT A BAD THING?!?
so then you say it is a "kids show". how on earth is this a bad thing? what is so bad about enjoying things for kids? if you like it, then age doesn't matter on the issue. you like something or not. growing up doesn't mean stop liking things you like as a kid. that's just a social barrier that society has pulled on us for the fear of being different. growing up is actually taking responsibility on one's actions, knowing there will be a reaction to something we do and accepting that if it's bad or not. it has nothing to do with changing your tastes in anything.
ow, the "characters just started acting like most irresponsible people act, noadays"? if you are referring to the actual characters of the show, I bet you haven't seen the show as they are obviously not irresponsible. if you are referring to the people who like the show (aka bronies) can you give me examples on to how this was exemplified? I only know of bronies sharing images and commentary on the show. I've even read a lot of cases where people get out of depression thanks to the support of the bronies.(right now I lost the thread where this guy needed someone to support him while his wife was in critical danger).
and finally, you are right on saying that the perception on cute is different for everyone so I can't criticize you on that. I respect that you have a different opinion on the issue.
on a side note, if you wish to keep attacking the pony community I would like to ask you first to watch at least 3 episodes before saying anything against it. you can't say you don't like something without even trying it. if you already have seen some episodes then I have nothing else to add to this and hope you have a nice day.

o.=.o ok. I've just been ganged up on. Hey, not cool! >.=.<
Alright, whatever you say, guys. Just leave me out of it. I've better things to do then discuss some stuff on a show.
Oh, and trust me. It's not going to help the general American public, I can gurantee you that.
