Description Redid the Appy Brandus resin's mane and tail in lighter colors. I like this better than the black and gray. He is still available for sale.

He is gorgeous. Wish I had the $$$$ to get him. But spending that kind of money on herptiles is more of a priority for me right now.

I am taking offers starting at $200 until Oct 5th. He will be shown on the 4th at a NAN qualifier. He goes to the highest offer. At the moment I don't have any offers, so if you want to get it rolling, feel free to make me an offer.

That particular model looks like it would be a good representation of a Friesian. Is that body style available for sale?

He is available unpainted from Horsing Around in England. [link]

He actually does not make a good anything, he has some major structural issues. He is sickle hocked, has very upright pasterns, is rump-high, has a short neck and wonky shoulders. I got him thinking the same thing, and the more I studied him the more I disliked him. If you are looking for a good Friesian in a similar stance try Metolious [link] .

He is much more correct and just a better model overall.

$150+ dollars geeze...That is steep. For that price, I will just make my own out of Polymer clays. However,...with a few modifications, Brandus could look much better. I really love the neck, and feathering on it.

Metolious is mice too, but I guess I like the more Baroque conformations better. It is obvious that he is gelded because his neck is on the thinner side.

Thank you for the links!

Well, they are limited run artist's resins. That is kind of the going rate for them.

Brandus would need a major front end overhaul, check out the skeletal angles on his shoulder in this pic [link] the humerus would be almost completely upright. It is some of the strangest conformation I have seen on a shoulder. His hind end is ok, but needs some work too.

If you want to see some beautiful, correct baroque sculptures, check Bridgette Eberl's site. She is the master of the baroque horse.

Holey smokes! I can see that.... From this angle the model looks horrible! What is with the head?????

all I can say now is...nevermind.

I don't know. Just bad biomechanics overall. I am showing him as a Mustang, you get a bit more slack in the conformation dept then!
