Rite of Fortitude for Nachi & maiise 's Ares

Kayu wrapped her scarf tighter around her neck as she looked out over the seemingly endless, undulating hills lying under a thick layer of snow. A single vast mountain erupted from the hills, the dark rock standing out sharply against the white snow. Above them the sun broke through the dark clouds, highlighting the scene with golden light.

Nachi fidgeted beneath her, looking around at the male they were taking this journey with. If fatigue settled over her muscles, the brown female did not show it. Kayu had built up her strength and endurance leading up to the rite but nothing was quite the same as days of full travel. Kayu stretched, easing her own growing stiffness.

They had an easier day, letting the two tokotas pace over the snowy terrain at their own pace. Kayu glanced over at Isabella. “Shall we let them really stretch their legs?”

A nod from the other woman, made Kayu grin as she urged her tokota forward. Nachi leapt into a flowing motion at her riders command, muscles stretching and coiling with each stride. Kayu leant forward, perching over Nachi’s shoulders and the tokota stretched out further relishing the speed and the competition from the spotted tokota running with her.
