Greetings
for I have returned...And here she is, my "Red Fox Nymph". I do plan on making more of these, but have to get my head right as to what animal I want to do next, and how I plant to go about it.
"I woulden't follow her"
"C'mon, she winked at me."
"Just...don't."
"But..."
"NO."
But yes...once again, I have attempted to do something a bit out of my usual realm.
I looked at quite a few pictures of foxes to try and get those ears and eyes just right, but it was a tricky endeavor. In the end, I didn't copy it perfectly, since I figured she looks quite a bit more human.
I've really tried to work on my technique, and I for one can say that I think I've improved, but really...you lovely people can be the judge of that.

She looks like a mischievous sprite who likes baubles. She'll sweet talk you until you're out of pocket, then she'll leave you.
Effective tones in the hair, they give it texture and depth.

She's still human, I can see, but it's nice to see how you inspired on the red fox for her ears and the colors of her hair and eyes. Who says girls with short hair can't be nice? (just ask a couple of my characters who have it). And also, love the tribal necklace, it goes very well with the rest of her theme

Thank you so much. And I definitely agree on the hair thing. I actually have what is considered "extra long hair"...as in I need to pay more to have it styled at a beauty parlor...not that it's a problem, since I haven't gone to one of those places in years. Heck! I barely even wash it... (Maybe once every two weeks). But sometimes I do wish I had short hair...just like that. Maybe it's my inner self speaking to me.

I'd try to draw her "Jewellry" more 3dimensional, by adding more shadows to bring in more depth

I love how you incorporated the vulpine features without making her obvious or stereotypical anthro/furry. The red hair is so well done, I love it. It's naturally bright without being overly saturated or fake. It's the right balance between being human and having a naturally spunky, wildness. The ears are subtle enough to pass as being human unless one looks for it. You kept the background simple enough to give the feeling of being in a forest or brush without removing or distracting the focus from the subject. well done.

Nice shading but the head proportion has problems.

This looks really good overall. The coloring and shading are well done. There's some parts that need to be improved though: Her nose is quite too long, and, for the shading, it would look even better with some red hues on her skin, it gives a more realistic feel on this.
You did a very good piece, keep it up.
