It wasn't hard to make at all. I modified the patterns........Simplicity 4076 for the under-tunic and 5840 for the outer-tunic and tabbards.
The under-tunic is made from a dark green stretch cotton. I don't know the name of the fabric I used for the outer-tunic. It's a really lite-weight, almost sheer fabric I found on the dollar rack at wal-mart lol

yes, I really love Simplicity's patterns. I have several of the Lord of the Rings inspired ones ^.^ I'm hoping to getting around to making Arwen's grey chase cossie from Fellowship one day

no, it's not silk, it's some sorta blend, I don't know what it's called right off the top of my head. It's really thin and flowing, that's what I loved about it. Tho it took a ton of interfacing to stiffen the tabbards lol
