Description Here's Ms. Tuttle showing off all of her skills! My friends ask me "how did you get her to do that?"

I don't know how to answer. Anyways, I asked Alison (the kay in ~maykay if she would help me with a description for this one, so she interviewed ~bryony , the model, about the picture. They're hilarious together, or separate for that matter. Here it is:

Alison: What do you think of the title?
Sophy on bass: Ummm, it's titley.
Ali: Do you mind that your name is in the title?
Soph: Um, I guess not.
Ali: Have you ever played the bass before?
Soph: I tried to teach myself once, but it didn't work out 'cause my hands are weak.
Ali: How did you feel playing the drums?
Soph: Not like a drummer.
Ali: Were the drumsticks difficult to handle?
Soph: They're drumsticks! This is the worst survey ever! Add that in...
Ali: What song are you singing as the singer?
Soph: I wasn't.
Ali: What in the song was emotional?
Soph: Nothing.
Ali: Are you crying or just rubbing your eye?
Soph: I don't know because I don't remember that far away ago.
Ali: Do you like having the strap and standing or sitting with no strap better?
Soph: Yes.
Ali: Are those records you have recorded on the wall?
Soph: Yes, I'm disgustingly famous, perhaps you have heard of me?
Ali: Do you always perform in such apparel?
Soph: Yes, I have wardrobes full of prom dresses, you wish you were me.
Ali: While wearing this dress did you feel violated in any way?
Soph: No...I don't have anything to show off.
Ali: How do audiences respond to your garment?
Soph: Oooh! Shiny!
Ali: Are they rude or does it turn them on?
Soph: Yes to both.
Ali: What is your favorite instrument?
Soph: Kazoo.
Ali: Did you think of old memories while wearing your prom dress?
Soph: Nope, haha...I didn't find the prom to be that uh, memorable.
Ali: What was running through your head as these pictures were taken?
Soph: What the hell am I doing?
Ali: What was your inspiration for this?
Soph: Nate and Lisa made me.
Ali: Are you and your sisters thinking of going on tour with your band?
Soph: Yes, we'll be like the Partridge family!
Ali: Do the other sisters feel neglected when people only talk to you, as the bassist?
Soph: They all hate each other, so they don't care. We try not to talk to each other.
Ali: Which sister do you have the best relationship with?
Soph: Probably Sophie, the singer.
Ali: Do you spend lots of time together?
Soph: Every waking moment.
Ali: Who has the most talent in your band?
Soph: I think Sophia, the guitarist.
Ali: Who has the most boyfriends?
Soph: Sophul, the drummer, the drummers always get all the chicks, haha, I mean...guys.
Ali: Who do you bunk with in your tour bus?
Soph: We have one of those big Road Rules things (moves hands to indicate large size), we're rich, we don't need bunks.
Ali: What fuel are you going to use to burn this interview paper?
Soph: Napalm.
Ali: Any additional comments?
Soph: It smells like gerbils in here.

Oh, man, excellent work Alison and Sophy. That one even makes me laugh

The only negative thing I can think of is that her skin color looks a bit unnatural (too much green). Otherwize it looks really good, nice job on this

When I first saw this from the thumbnail it looked like The Corr sisters I am at a loss of word over this. For lack of words can I just say it's brillant and I love it! Enough said

Belated comment... Jeez do I love this...

The masking/blending appears impeccable. I hadn't even noticed the transparency on the dress - friggin' awesome job there! And then it appears you've done a fine development job on the composited result too - I'm quite struck with how good you've gotten at recontrasting. It's amazing how the results become evident to someone who knows to look for them, and yours are really top notch.

Two main things that have struck me about this, over and over again as I've come back to view it.

One is that I normally hate ceiling-centric lighting (not just in photography, but altogether), and so I'm amazed what an asset you've made it in this shot. It really adds a sense of depth and place to your composition by "placing" each subject so clearly within the room. In fact, it might be your magic ingredient that makes this a cut above similarly-minded works I've seen.

Two is that I love how she's really assumed different personalities for each instrument. She's not just holding or using each instrument, she's really adopting the roles. It's most evident on the drums, of course, but pretty universally, except possibly that one might consider her bass and guitar roles "reversed" (depending on how one tends to stereotype bass players and guitarists.)

I gotta admit, too, a huge weakness for her own charming and elegant appeal here. Her "mysterious crooner" is wonderful, and her "longing Tori Amos look" at the keyboards actually defines the image for me more than any other. (That "looking into our eyes" carries with it a implied self-awareness of the image that she's confronting us with.) I quite like how her lovely shoulders are so vital in differentiating her manifestations too, so passionate as the singer, so relaxed at the keyboards. She's just really good at expressing herself not just through her face but with her body language.

In any case, I faved this on sight the other day, but wanted to make sure I gave this a rundown for you - I like everything about it hugely, a brilliant execution to match a clever concept.

That interview is possibly the best interview I have ever read!
In terms of the photographic concept, I'd say it carries a nice humorous tinge to it. When I first saw this, I thought, "Hey, thats really cool. Very cute and funny at the same time!" I like the fact that this is so Nate-like. It has like your name written all over the piece. Its awesome.

Hey, you know what's ironic? I'm watching the news as I type this and it seems that South Korea have successfully cloned the human embryo. With that in mind, you can sort of relate it to this piece. Not in a cloned way but that's alot of copy's of Spohy there. Hehe...

In any case, the color tones in this are like, how do you say? Very well chosen. The fact that the background carries that light blue tinge adds a nice feeling in the atmosphere. But, it truly brings out the models complexion in terms of eye attraction. Her red prom dress really stands out against the background which makes the human eye solely focus on her(s). I really like that. Very easy on the eyes and your model is very cute which is awesome. Heh.

Now, from what I'm seeing in this, its like the The Replica Band. Awesome. Love the fact that it has reference to music. I tickles my mind with excitement, for no apparant reason. Hmm... I want Sophy's autograph. Hehe...

The title of the image. "Tuttle Chaos". I find that rather interesting. Gah, hold on. I seriously need to release the pizzle in me.

- censored intermission -

Okay. Sorry about that. But I couldn't hold it anymore. lol. "Tuttle Chaos". I find this title to be highly... awkward. Because I know Tuttle is a town/city but I'm guessing that this piece has absolutely zero reference to that place. Or... bleh, I don't know. My mind is boiling in constant confusion. Must be that ugly sandwich I ate earlier... yuck.

Hmm, I should add too. Your friend here looks alot like one of my sister's friends. The resemblance in uncanning. Well, I actually your friend looks better than my sisters friend but aside from that fact... umm... rulers are funny.

Christ, I'm seriously running out of things to talk about. I think this is usually the time where I should just finish up the comment and say, "Wow Nate. That's amazing. Great job as usual."

But you know what? I'm not gonna say that. I'm gonna finish it up with something else.

It's taken me far too long to comment on this! I kept looking at it in my watch and going "That is some nifty work Nate's pulled off, again" but I didn't have anything constructive to say. Not that I do now, I just thought I should voice my admiration on how much I love these multiple shots in one. Such an excellent idea to have her in her own 'band' too. Another classic!

scanning for criticism... hmm... your model seems a bit self-concious, but she still does well, and she is pretty umm... damn, I don't think I can find anymore criticism...

you made the manipulations very realistic, totally seamless. I like the desaturation in the background, and the light, and the colours, and... everything.

I want her dress.
