Really? Hottest babes to fattest porkers? Not only am I disappointed in this piece I'm insulted as well. Albeit it's your artwork and you can do what you like but if you want to convey large women negatively I'll definitely have to stop following.

That's just what Archie thinks at that point in the story. But I mean if it were a real comic he would probably realize that he was being shallow by the end of the story and then be in love with Betty and Veronica anyway.

Do you think there is some way I can work Jughead's legendary eating prowess into this story - like if Betty and Veronica eat more than he does?Β Or maybe the reason they become fat is that they are emulating him (for some reason)?

Basically, okay...over all. I may have fallen out of love with Marvel and DC for good, though. I can't stand anything I read (the Avengers seem like Nazis, all Spider-man does is depress me, and I REFUSE to follow along on yet another damned DC Reboot!) and I was hit by a car two years ago. Pretty bad. I almost lost my left leg (no joke, that)...

Yeah, the only title I read regularly is Scarlet Spider (sooo good!) and it's sadly ending in November, I believe, (though he goes on to join the upcoming New Warriors book).Β I'm glad you're okay after the accident, man. That was a really close call, it seems.

Analysis:
I think the early Comics Code in that era (judging by the size of the code stamp) prohibited depicting women with "unrealistic proportions"... On the other hand, the "shoe swish" negates it being in that era.
