You seem to be absolutely loyal to your reference (photo?) and your technique is almost perfect. Can you go any further this way? How about loosing it up a bit? No offence, if that's not your way. Anyway, marvellous gallery.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner...I usually, in both oil and water color use burnt sienna for the skin tones. In water color the depth is dependent on how much water I add, or if I want to darken it I might put Indigo on top of it. I guess it depends on the effect and the colors you are trying to pull out in the picture. If there were a lot of purple reflections I would add purple, or whatever color is being reflected I would add into the skin....oops, this is turning into a whole art lesson LOL. Yes, my picture of Richard is from a picture I took while sitting in a car years ago. Who would of thought someday I could turn it into art!! LOL, thank you for your feedback!
