Description hmm... i think, aside from my beloved orekroark species, the Soyouhs may be along my top favorite creatures.  I have creature planning for all stages of their development, from the before and beginning of the sapient nature to high civilization on other planets.  What I drew here was mostly from pre-civilization around when they were beginning to develop more useful abilities around tools, such as sewing with bone hooks and animal tendons to make carrying bags.
These guys started as small-medium sized omnivores on their desert planet.  They were particularly vicious and territorial, lacerating prey and intruders with their sharpened crests.  They are fast, agile, and durable, with spongy, springy backs and muscular necks for ramming, and a single wide ranging optic in the center of the heads that can retract behind boney lids.  They also had dextrous digits and utilized tools.
Their intelligence grew dramatically and they expanded their skills until they developed simple cities with the ability to grow their own food.  The citizens were bored and often took to drugs and sheer violence simply to entertain themselves.  Neighboring alien races saw fit to rescue them when their star showed signs of collapse.  They were spread out far across the galaxy after the rescue, became gypsies, thieves and merchants with nasty attitudes.  In later points in time, they form alliances with small groups of civilian orekroarks living on alien planets.

The design looks very interesting and inspireing.

For me ist just a little bit strange when I look at his face and he has only one eye.

The anatomy and the poses are so great

I love the plating and the long torso. It's cool that you've thought out their whole evolution like that, too.
