I love the color of this picture. I've always associated colors like that with older summers, so it has sort of a nostalgic feel.

thinki IΒ΄ve commented this 1 before, or some other piece of yours... anyways, this looks just like the time before, pretty.... love the vintage feeling in it. Feel like itΒ΄s taken in the 70s or something, the atmosphere works killer with the colouring.

you definately have alot of skill, and you know how to use it for sure, this pic is a great example of that, you should be proud to have this as a featured deviation on your page, because it deserves the attention it's getting.

i like the look on her face, kinda an inquisitive expression, however i dont think the sepoa agree's with it.. but thats just me, its hard to pull off a sepia pic that ill absolutely love, but this comes very close

The decision to go with a very light sepia tone was an excellent one on this shot, it works very well for the 'portrait in wheat' style picture. My only critique would be that the angle could be a little higher, this would decrease the amount of almost white sky that adds little to the photo, and would also show the girl's hands, an insight into a someone's personality. As it is now, i feel as if some of her has been chopped out.

After bakabaka's post a little earlier, I am hard pressed to find anything more to say... It could very well have been submitted to the emotive portraits category too, as it radiates a lot of emotion, especially through the colouring. It has a very nostalgic feel to it, and I really like the way you cropped it. Well done!

There's something about this image that really draws me to it. Of course, I can't figure out exactly what, because there's so much! The girl is beautiful. Who is she? Personally, when I see a photograph, I love to read the description and find out the story behind it. Like where it was taken, or who the model is. The "." comment is never a good thing, IMHO. Is writing down a few sentences to give the viewer a better feel of your image such a hard thing to do? It's a very nice image, and I hate that I have this negative feeling tugging at the back of my brain because the photographer couldn't find the time comment on their own creation. Just a personal opinion there. Back to the image~ The sepia tones are so suitable for this, because it gives it nice aged feeling and it looks great with her skin tone and the grass around her. It also makes her freckles stand out oh so very nicely. The pose and facial expression are perfect and flow well together, and I must say that the composition in this is fantastic. The horizon above the reeds against the girl and her shadow along the ground balances out very well. I also like the white frame. :3 I'm a little biased there though. But it looks great with the image as well as the sepia-goodness. The only thing that I don't like about this, is that her hands are cut out of the image. I think if you would have allowed her hands to be in the picture it would've made it a little more interesting and would make her feel a bit more whole as a model. I'm sure that doesn't make sense... but still. Anyhow, great image and kudos to the model!
