I guess I should talk about this guy
He currently has no name.
He is usually found alone, as he does not trust people easily. His prosthetic limbs are a result of a childhood accident (involving people)
The sword is called "Lanlong" (which means blue dragon in Chinese. I can't think of anything better right now). LanLong is retractable and it's non-dangerous form is just a hand brace.
Yellow is his least favorite color
That's all I can think of for now...

Yeah, i guess art block has that effect. I never know what to draw so i guess i have art block all the time. Well, more or less it's i have tons of ideas but i don't know how to go about drawing it. Do you have that same problem?
And writing as in sketchbook assignments for a drawing class? Those are both good and bad because you don't get to draw what you want but it forces you to draw something you normally wouldn't and/or write something.

An art-block for me means I have a lack of new ideas + for some reason I forget how to start + suddenly everything looks awful @_@ therefore I keep easing. Then I get
Usually when I have an idea I do a lot of thumbnail sketches and I find that helps.
We have to write about our work. Plus IB wants you to look at other people's work analyze it and compare with another artwork. -___-

That happens to me sometimes too. I sometimes just go through periods of time where all my drawings look really bad but then there's some random good one mixed in there somewhere (which is why i never let people go through my sketchbook)
I do a lot of thumbnail sketches too (but most of the time i completely change it -_-) And it never turns out the way i envisioned it
Oh. O_o i wouldn't like that. I don't really like comparing artwork because everyone has their own unique style.

I have a good sketchbook and a bad one. In the bad one I'm like whatever. In the good sketchbook, I take the stuff I like in the bad sketchbook and transfer it

That's a good idea
But with your set up, you don't have to worry about messing up your "good" sketchbook with practice sketches and whatnot.
That seems like a good comparison. To me, it seems like a halfway point between realism and cartoons. Which makes for an interesting topic.

Lol ill do what I can. I think I wanna do it in segments and then take pictures of my steps so if I go to far I can start over with a step I liked better or something. but im waiting on the guy who wants it to pick what kind of sunset he wants.

Are you doing it digitally or traditionally?
Maybe if you are doing it traditionally you can experiment on small pieces of paper and then compare it. I find that it's easier for me to do it that way.

im doing it traditionally oil paint on canvas ill be doing minor steps first with colored pencils on small papers

and its not going well, I have only like 3 hours of daylight and I am... running on empty it feels like im so dizzy a lot this week

and its hard... its one of the many reasons I don't get enough sleep when im working night shift u.u I am always so tired... when im driving home I have to blast my music and drive with the windows down so the air and loud noises keep me awake so I don't crash and die

Ick. Lately I've been having issues with my back. I can't sit, and lie down without some level of discomfort.
On those long road trips when my dad is about to fall asleep at the wheel, my mom feeds him gum. Maybe that will help you stay awake?
