Oh, boy. I wonder how they roped Katie into it. Since I don't know her personality, I will just make a guess. I'm thinking that unlike her cousins and their friend, she was somehow unintentionally brought into the ghost zone or chased after them and while they were there, she found a way of helping them in a big way. After the fight, the teens agreed to keep this adventure to themselves, but they run into their parents on the way back and this picture is how things turned out.
