 I know the origianl story behind Hercules where he killed Megara.  ( It was Hera WHO made him do it) But It always irriteted me, that They did not become gods together, BUT stayed on Earth to Watch over mankind, who they still wanted to be a part of. 

 Because Megara has proven itself to be a hero just as much as Hercules himself.

Do you know if, there is a story like that out there ?
