I thought ChatNoir would be over dramatic if he had such disease. He would try to find Ladybug so she would be the last thing he saw before he died. But he can't say the three words he always wanted to say because of the petals so he just caresses her cheek.The flower petals are supposed to be pink lotus petals in honor of Marinette's favorite flower and color. The words in the background are lyrics to Ed Sheeran's song, Friends. I thought it suited their relationship.
