Even if she's not saying it, it's like this poor girl has it written all over her face.
She must be sick and tired of it!
In the very last days of term, just before school ended, the hapless girl put her foot wrong, in the truest sense of the word....
Running down the stairs so as not to be late for gymnastics practice, she stepped on the wrong foot, her ankle twisted and... this is the result!
No less than two months with the (more than unwelcome) company of this bulky plaster cast.
For her, most of the summer is over before it begins.
Stuck in her flat, forced to shift between the bed and the sofa in the living room to keep her plaster cast leg elevated as much as possible.
She's in such a bad mood that she's constantly going around the house in her nightdress: anyway, there's no way she's going out, so it's pointless wasting time changing clothes...
The most exciting physical activity for her has become changing the channels on the television.
The remote control, along with her crutches, is now her most trusted companion.
For an ultra-sporty girl like her, this long period of forced immobility is the worst of all sentences.
And on top of all that, her favourite TV channel (a sports channel, needless to say) is constantly showing reruns of the latest Olympics. In short, a triumph of sport, right in front of a poor girl for whom the only sport currently practicable is the โ4x100 relay bed-sofa-bed-sofaโ...
What an agony!
Her glaringly sullen face says more than a thousand words...
