Sweet. The wing redesign is killer. King Ghidorah is my favorite kaiju, and this design certainly looks more drakonic. Ghidorah rocks tits.

It's always astounded me that TOHO made The King of Terror based only on "It has three heads, two tails, and sounds like a bell." Well, it turned out that bell-voiced dragon was a bad-ass-mother-fucker of the highest order. Great redesign.

The Showa version had fur around his heads, like a lion mane. You just can't see it very well in a lot of shots.

Which makes all kinds of sense, since Ghido himself is basically a Hydra/Wyvern/Eastern Dragon 'chimera.' Sorry if I sound like a canon-detail stickler...improving in areas the film-designers didn't have time or resources to notice is one great aspect of kaiju-illustration.

Thanks! I tend to draw wings like that. It's, well, easier, and sometimes I mess up when I try to make them thicker. It is a fault, and I'm trying to stop.
It's been a while since I've seen one of his older apperances, so I forgot some of his Showa elements. I just kinda slapped some of the elements of him I remembered together. It's a chimera Ghidorah!

Niiice. Standout features from my point of view:
-The tail-maces...not as ornate as some of the film Ghidorah designs, but they look quite effective.
-The lean & mean legs & torso...if there's one thing the film-Ghidorahs generally lacked, it was muscle definition.
-The heads...excellent job here. Ghido's sneering visage(s) combined with the manes make for an interesting mix of Eastern & Western dragon-traits. Although I do like Showa Ghidorah's antlers, the sweeping twin-horns and crescent forehead-horn you used work just fine.
The only things that bug me a little here are his wing-fingers (which seem a little thin) and the lack of 'collar-spines'. Then again, I have no idea how well those would mix with the manes, so don't lose any sleep over it.
