Added 8/21/09Right, here's me having another go at Primal Rage. I've actually got them all done-I'm just not going to color them all at once, and space them out instead.
This is, of course, Sauron. Unlike the last time, I used the tail dragging retro pose, and didn't put spikes on him!
I know, you're all shocked.
They're all posed like this-in the battle ready pose from the game. Well, more or less. Been a while since I've played.
Hope I've hit a little closer this time around! Enjoy!

Did you know there's a petition to get "Primal Rage 2" released...
And there's talk that if we show Atari that there's still an interest out here among us fans they may end up doing A Next-gen Remake of the first one.

What system is it for?

Umm, you can get it on a few different consoles...I think you can get it on a PS2 Compilation disk, the ones that have a bunch of older games on them.
There's one for SNES, which is the one I played, one on Gameboy, and...I dunno if there's anymore.

I think this is a pretty successful version of Sauron. Personally I think there is a way to do Retrosaur without the tail dragging and thus unnecessary injury but this is more shall be say 'Heisei' version of Sauron and its an interesting look. Sauron never had reason to rely on his arms so making them bigger wasn't all that necessary. Stronger and more muscled yes but not necessarily longer. I like the plates over the spikes so thats a great decision in my book.
Overall, I think Sauron is what we'd call a 'Super Rex'. He's a T-Rex to his core but is enhanced in such a way to make him that much more powerful. He's mostly upright which gives him a height and reach advantage over his foes, able to avoid a lot of the traps that Rexes get into like jaw breakage and neck holds. Sauron's primary weapons are his jaws, his feet, and his tail. Efforts to maximize those three things are in Sauron's best interests. A big head, big feet, and long tail backed up by solid muscle and girth is what would make Sauron a truly god like figure among dinosaurs. His legs here are a tad stumpy but not by much, I love the size of his feet though, major weaponry right there.

Well, I guess the arms could be shorter-they were a bit smaller in the first draft, but...coffee and corruption again. The head, tail and feet would look even bigger if the arms were small to contrast, too. Ahh, well.
Glad you like the plates-I dunno who suggested that the first time around, but it was a great idea.
