And my second victim is 's Black Betty!Pretty pale Miss Betty died a ways back...but what if when she returned part of her sanity stayed behind? Scary
Almost got myself into trouble with those lovely freckles. Forgot them initially but noticed it as I placed the page in the scanner...then almost covered her in freckles because I love them. (YEAH GINGERY LOVE) I think this may be the closest I'll get to putting a female DU character in pants...I just can't seem to do it. 
Also *shakefist* *bogmonster ! Do you have any idea how many times I listened to Ram Jam's Back Betty while doodling this? It'll be stuck in my head for DAYS!

well if it makes you feel any better I tend to draw them in a vaguely "Is that really a female???" style

HAHA!! I have a similar problem with males. The bf always gives me the 'that's a chick' look when I draw them and apparently screaming 'shut your face it's a DUDE!!' is in bad taste.
*shrugs* Who would've thought?
And I rather like your style! I seriously stared at Cricket for 10 minutes before deciding I shouldn't take a stab at her since I'd likely fail completely as I have no idea what's under all that armour...yet I continue staring, lol. o.o

Ah, I've met with girls before who have said they've had trouble drawing guys. Really I think it's the eyes and the lips that tend to mess people up.

I'm glad you like Cricket too! She's a fun personality that I hope to expand on some day. To put your mind at ease though, besides the antenna, the dragonfly wings she can pull into a beetle shell like thing, her yellow and green eyes, the green tint of her skin, and the fact that her legs are about two times longer than they should be, she looks pretty much like a normal human

It's more the overall shape that gets me. Male hips just never make sense for some reason.

hah. I have the same troubles with women's figures. I either draw them looking like a ping pong paddle or I draw them like toothpick thin trying to give them shape!
