I'm really very afraid of the situation in southern Europe especially Greece... I think we northern Europeans are going to destroy a lot of society and social facts... it's the pure horror

The situation in S.E. is already alarming enough, dear Christiane.
Still, if we, southern Europeans want to be honest to ourselves, we have to admit that we made huge mistakes, mainly by letting ourselves get carried away by greed, unable to distinguish between our real and our plasmatic needs.
We Greeks, in particular, have distanced ourselves so much from the values we have inherited, lost completely the spirit of belonging to a whole and each has acted according to their individual interests. We are caught into our own trap now and we cannot pretend to be the victims of the more powerful ones, because even now, we tend to resort to national rescuers whose only concern is to manipulate people, to create hatred between the greeks themselves, distort history, promote racism, accusing immigrants for what Greece has come to be and, and, and...
This is too long a comment and you do not have to reply, but I am angry and I know that many sensitive N. Europeans like you tend to accuse their leaders which is partly fair, but I had to point out that we who are "suffering" now, have our share in all this...

I don't know that... but I think the medicine we all give: saving the banks and a government which tries to save money (and nothing else) is not helpful.
You speak about nationalists... I think they become stronger, when politics are made in that way
