Absolutely wonderful Hobbiton Movie Set - [link] in Matamata, New Zealand.For a total Tolkien nerd that was a highlight of the trip! Also for those who do not know much about the books/films... well it is an awesome place to visit
PS. Green Dragon is now open... I was there month before opening

Wow, wow, wow! Β I imagine this place would've looked incredible already, but with your photography skills it's just... stunning. What an adorable capture of Hobbiton!! I had the huge blessing of being able to go to New Zealand a few months ago -- seeing Hobbiton was definitely the coolest day of my entire life. Well, at least until we made it to Wellington and I got to see Weta Workshops.... :3

I think the tour is abit more expensive since Ive been there in Nov last year as Green Dragon is open and you get refreshments as well

the place it's amazing I heard that when the did the first movies they took all the set when shooting was finished and they only left holes in the ground so for the new ones the treaty included leave the sets there so they can preserve them for tourisim,so this is the result, excellent. I totally will go there if I ever visit New Zealands thanks!
