I rarely make comments anymore when I post something, but this once I thought I would, so I would not be in dutch with the Spock fans....

Logically being imperfect makes one an individual, Spock strived for that I really think. He may have had those moments of claiming to be insulted by the good doctor's words of being human, but you could always tell it really didn't strike him that way when you really looked at him.

You really had that moment that maybe he was more indignant at the thought that maybe others didn't think he acknowledged his human side. He never denyed it. It made him more different than any others and he realized that. He pride for both sides, and the emotional out bursts that he did suffer were always under some drug or stress or virus....they generally expand ones emotions...everyone else was crazy too if you remember at those times. there is little doubt that his human side was like ours when not scrutinized.

That I think made him a better man. He wasn't ashamed nor embarrassed or depressed by this fact. So I always wonder at those who say they associate the idea of being just like Spock and no one understands them. They're different. Spock was different, but everyone knew it and understood it and respected him more for it. Which I would like to believe made him possibly even more proud that he was 'Logically Imperfect'.

I'm like Spock in that I try to think logically, but in a way we're total opposites. I am very emotional. I think I have some issues... But oh well! I think... I don't know I'm tired. Goodnight I think I'll got o bed now that it's 3 AM!!

Yes! You explained Spock perfectly in those scenarios. He sure could come back with wit and even stump Jim and McCoy! The first season really proved this well. It almost seemed Spock was entertained by their banter, especially when he rose that one eyebrow...fascinating!

Ok, I'm more of a Kirk fan, but there's so much truth in it that I had to fave instantly. And Spock is great, anyway. I too believe Spock's human part made him more complete in a sense, much better when he learned how to combine logic and feelings in a comfortable way to his Vulcan heritage. After all, that's why he chose Starfleet, I believe.

I always thought the indignance was just an act Spock used in his little play fights with McCoy. They loved to dog each other, but you can't do that if you agree all the time.
