It's her image...I just felt the need to draw it..it's so beautiful.

Sorry for the grainy texture, I got new pencils and sketchbook and still getting used to them.

I personally like it better with the grainy texture

I don't want to be rude or something. But do you know Trainspotting, when the Baby crawls on the ceiling (Zimmerdecke in German)?
... the way she (on the picture) bends her head reminds me of that scene.

...

Something apart from that...

...

I like the way her hair, although it is not drawn like water, gives the impression of water running down a landscape.

I haven't read the comments which came before so I'm probably just repeating someone else's thoughts... but.. I like your idea of a hairy waterfall.

Interesting analysis on your part I don't find that rude at all. Thanks for commenting!

Really nice.

A clever man might have wise intuitive statements as to why you coloured the eye so subtly. The insight to fathom what the image means to artist and subject.

I’m not that guy!

I’ll just enjoy as great sketch of someone who loves another. Thanks for sharing.

Well in this case the subject doesn't mean anything to me really...
Just a pretty face I found while browsing on dA.

And for the record... A simple enjoyment from my work is worth just as much as a clever/ intuitive comment

its beautiful car,
is that some colour
in the eye, not sure if
you noticed, but
it does look like it.

this is beautiful.
in every which way.

Yes some subtle colouring in the eye is evident!
and it was intentional.
Thank you

Carly,

the differences in people's minds
are endlessly fascinating. how
you can see in such minute detail
escapes my awareness, let alone
how you can duplicate what you see.

questions: do you feel connected
to some consciousness outside
yourself... at all... ever?

whether you feel it or not, somehow,
i think you are. do you sometimes
feel Sara beside you when she's not?

do you feel the uncountable atoms
making up the universe which are siblings
to every atom within you, all nearly
fourteen billions of years old?

do you feel the elemental stardust which
has exploded from supernovi, composing the
elements within you and in everything you
see around you?

it is said we feel these things as children,
but lose the ability due to the adults
around us not showing signs of common
experience. very young children are said
to see auras too.

why do i write these things in a comment
to you? this is where the stream of
consciousness began, in these paragraphs.

we have to go where some elemental flow
tends to take us, i think. i simply
acquiesce to what may not actually be
just random chance. more than driven,
i feel led.

now, i'm led to say, Carly, you have a
beautiful gift, more than one, one is
your artistic talent... another is Sara...

if there is more than we realize within
us that is a gift too.

"do you feel connected
to some consciousness outside
yourself"
The answer to that is yes, I do.
I feel it all around me, and in my core.
But I've yet to find out for myself what this "consciousness" is.
God maybe? I don't know; It's not my place to decide such things.

As for aura's, I've heard children can see them, and that's why they feel connected to certain people...the colour of their aura. I don't know what colour my aura is but I think it's safe to say it's not the colour that children like...

And yes, Sara is a great gift to me, she is to many people. Some just don't realize what a gift she truly is.

Thank you for commenting
it's always nice to hear from you.

Carly,

is what you feel inside, God?
as you indicate, who knows?
more logically, i think it
is an internal realization,
an understanding, a knowledge,
(perhaps), of the elemental
connections between ourselves
and everything and everyone
that is, or ever has been,
or ever shall be. we are a
valuable part of this continuum.

we belong and, the more we learn
and understand, the more we
belong. is this our part in the
evolution of ourselves within
the evolving universe? perhaps...

i think these thoughts should be
cut and pasted into an essay. the
more and deeper we think, the better
the world.

the graininess goes hand-in hand with the harsh colouring of the original image, don't apologize, it looks fantastic,
as always.
i love your work and only which i could obtain a job in order to perhaps purchase some.
but alas, i am yet poor. ;-;
someday.
