at the beginning this pic was a bit too empty and a friend and talented rather young conceptartist, tobias trebeljahr helped me by adding very roughly more rocks and birds and so not only helped the composition but also the story... but refining and detailing something that someoneelse has drawn can be really hard... i always felt that what ever i detaled looked worse than the loose sketch...i'm kinda happy with the result, but this wasn't easy... in german i would say "eine schwere geburt" ... a hard birth...

Love the foreshortening and the composition. The angle the viewer is seeing from almost almost makes it seem like we're seeing from the eyes of another seagull. Beautiful colors. The yellow stands out nicely against the cooler tones. I love this, very much!

Really love this piece, and understand completely the "hard birth" involved.........I am currently in the process of creating more in-depth pieces myself, and have been in an up-hill battle, but it feels good!

Das Bild ist echt eindrucksvoll, da ist dir eine so richtig dynamische Komposition gelungen. Ich liebe einfach wie der gekippte Horizont meinen Blick nach rechts schickt, wo die MΓΆwe ihn auffΓ€ngt und zu der luftig gekleideten Dame schickt
Und obwohl das Motiv so ziemlich in der Bildmitte ist, scheint das Bild ΓΌberhaupt nicht zentriert, im Gegenteil. Genau wie die Farbwahl wirkt das ganze Bild richtig lebendig, du hast die Bewegung(en) echt schΓΆn eingefangen!

I think it's beautiful! There's a nice morning atmosphere about it, and the lighting is great! I think my favorite part is the beautifully-rendered water, though. I understand that water is very difficult to paint, but you did very well!
