I once met a tori horse stallion I loved. Thanks for bringing memories of him to me. He was gentle, huge horse. Much larger than these horses would normally be.

Somehow this picture makes me feel sad. Cold iron bar, calm eye, kind of cramped looking stall (I know it's only because of the angle the picture is taken from, I'm not accusing you or anyone else for bad conditions!)... The horse is calm though we've imprisoned her. And that is what we do to horses, really. It is not their natural habitat to be locked down to our stables. But for hundreds of years we've bred them to endure this, so it is not SUCH a huge problem to horses nowadays.

I'm not sure, if you intended to bring these kinds of tones to your artwork, but that is how it looks for me. I must say too, that the horse is extremely pretty. I love her look (I looked at the other pics). She looks very lively and happy . This is maybe not the best photo of her to tell us: "Look at her, don't you see how pretty she is?" but I think this photo is important. The story it brings to my mind is important. It reminds us what horses really are. Where they really belong. And what we, as humans, have done to them.

I must tell you, that I love riding and being around horses! I do not intend to tell anyone this is wrong. I'm trying to tell that this is the truth!

This pic seems quite sad to me also. And there's(Tori horse breeding farm orsomething..) 4-5 stables, and yesh, these boxes were a bit... weird.. (you can see a little in here: [link] ). And all stables were so dark and horses were soo quiet (lo, but it was still soo hard to take pictures, dark place, horses got a lot of attention because there was a lot of people), but atleast they can go out and training lessons + everything ^^

And i agree with you! That's what we are, humans.

Oh, these horses are from Pärnu? I've been there (not stables though) and I just loved the place. It is the first place I've ever thought I'd really love to live. But I'm from Finland and it is really not an option... But I love Estonia (not your capital though... that is where all our Finnish drunks comes to drink and I've seen too much of that side of the town)... Pärnu was so beautiful.

I'm defenately coming back to Pärnu some day. And taking my man with me. He has to see it!
