Description Went threw some old sketches and came across my infamous Cannabis Mantis. Inspired by Igor's amazing micro photography of insects, particularly those of praying mantises. The fact that they've adapted their camouflage to each of their own specific hunting grounds is phenomenal.

Some insects do find refuge amongst the leaves and fruits of the cannabis plant, but totally oblivious to the mantis's camouflage wizardry.

I'm going do do flower-imitating mantises (not sure of the right term) of wax and perhaps pieces of fabrics in the future, and I thought of this. Great minds think alike, I guess, although I don't consider myself ''great''. Love those insects.

Faved a while ago.

That'll be pretty sweet Especially if you make them larger then life styled. I'm sure you can put in some wicked details.

Either larger than life-size, or small enough to pose in large flowers (if possible). The first one to pop into my mind is a papaver mantis (or was it opium mantis? ). Too bad I'm terrible in botany, but should you have any suggestion for plants that would be a good fit, I'd love to try it out.

But really, here's an area I feel I can use at least a little more creativity than usual, and make up my own species rather than follow the rules. Insects are wonderful like that. And fish, with their colours and shapes.
