I just do weird shapes with lines coming down I dont plan where I want em to go really. Thanks yeah I thought the fire would go well with some evil soldier.

Lol. Nice. it looks good, the lighting is different than your usual. For stars, check out Rahll's glass brush it actually works surprisingly well when you downsize it and mess with scatter a bit.

I sometimes use the smudge tool for that but it is always recommended that you use a soft brush from the beginning to end

yeah theres a solid and soft one that makes everything kind of fuzzy.
