Featured: A New BatteryThere comes a time when the battery in one's older vehicle must be replaced since it won't hold a charge properly anymore. That time came for my minivan this week: funny how we take getting from point A to B for granted until it's not simple any longer. In the midst of so much to do, I replaced the battery with some Christmas money I'd received, because it might cost more time, money, and energy to fix it otherwise. I suppose it's a lesson in gratitude, I'm glad I passed, and I pray that this coming Nativity celebration, it is not the gifts you receive or the sparkle of decorations that lift your spirits, but the moment of thankfulness for all the simple blessings so often overlooked, which fills your heart as you look upon the brightest star in the sky and wonder what it was like in another time far away, when Christ came to us a little child, born in a manger far from home.
